After her parents' death by misadventure, Nell takes over the family's metal processing shop and raises her two teenage siblings. Ten years later she is finally free and wants to fulfill her dream: complete her training as a paragliding instructor at Lake Garda.

There, she not only meets Lukas – a brief Christmas love affair one year earlier, which actually means more to her than she wants to admit – but also gets to know Simone Ferri, who runs a small, alternative farmhouse restaurant with his family.

While Lukas and Nell are absolutely on the same wavelength regarding their flight activities, Simone instead shows her that love passes through your taste buds, thanks to his culinary art.
